In 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in the Shelby County v. Holder case gutted key parts of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which previously protected voters from racial discrimination and intimidation. This watershed decision led to an increase in new anti-voter laws that create new requirements in the voting process and disproportionately affect Black voters and other communities of color. It's time to put an end to racial discrimination in voting by supporting the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
